Websites Built Right

I'm Tanner Livesay. I build practical websites and digital tools that solve real needs.

I'm the founder of Websites Built Right MN. I handle the design you see and the practical work underneath it: how the information is organized, how the work flows, and how it all gets tested and handed off.

Where the discipline comes from

Before focusing on web work, I spent more than eight years in technical support and operations: coordinating device rollouts, writing documentation, training people, improving processes, and keeping teams and customers informed. That background shows up in every project: organized work, clear communication, careful testing, written documentation, and a handoff you can actually use.

What I build now

Recent work includes an online store, a live event scoring app, a community resource hub, a civic information site, a small-business website, and a private workflow tool.

How I work

The same four habits run through every project, from a one-page site to a custom tool.

  • Understand the workflow.

  • Document the decision.

  • Test the risky parts.

  • Make the handoff usable.

What I can help with

Five connected areas, one person doing the work: turning practical needs into well-planned, tested websites and tools.

  • Planning and structure

Understanding the need, agreeing on scope, organizing information so people can find it, and mapping how someone moves through the site.

  • Design and building

Layouts that work on every screen, custom features, app behavior, connections to other services, and getting it live.

  • Stores, search, and analytics

Product storytelling, checkout through Stripe, search visibility (SEO and Search Console), analytics, and consent.

  • Trust and quality

Accessibility, privacy, sources people can check, testing on real phone sizes, and a careful review before launch.

  • Operations and communication

Clear first conversations, mapping how the work actually flows, training, handoff, and follow-through.

Three projects to look at

Three different kinds of need. Each one is live, and you can try it yourself.

  • A complete store, from product story to checkout

    Scratch Canvas

A live online store for an original product: storefront, catalog, Stripe checkout, policies, SEO, and analytics that respect consent.

  • A custom tool built for a live event

    Scramble Weekend
